Insulation
Schoeneman’s carries Owens Corning brand batt insulation, unfaced and paper faced in 3-1/2”, 6” and 9” thicknesses. Our insulation products are available for every building need. From schools to businesses and family homes, Owens Corning insulation has solutions that combine commercial quality with residential comfort.
A method of insulating your attic is with Owens Corning loosefill insulation. Instead of laying batts or rolls, ProCat® Insulation Blowing Machine conditions the ProCat® Expanding Blown-In PINK®Fiberglas™ Insulation by fluffing it along the length of the hose, adding millions of the tiny air pockets that give the material its insulating power. Because Fiberglas™ insulation will not settle, it will maintain the same energy-saving level over time, keeping your home comfortable for years to come.
Owens Corning
When you need the right insulation for the job, Owens Corning offers high-performance insulation solutions in a choice of advanced materials. From next generation fiberglass and spray foam insulation to mineral wool and rigid foam board insulation, Owens Corning has the right product for the right application.

InsulPure™ is our innovative insulation line that replaces our Sustainable Insulation® products, which will be phased out by mid-2022. Utilizing fiberglass technology made of high recycled and renewable content, InsulPure retains all the most desirable attributes of its predecessor, as both share the same thermal and acoustical specs, but InsulPure offers new installer- and end user-friendly benefits.
These begin with a more efficient binder, which better contains the fibers in each batt, roll, and board. And, because InsulPure has no additives or dyes, the insulation itself is white—the color inherent to its fibers. There is, however, one thing InsulPure doesn’t have: a discernible odor.
InsulPure’s improved mechanical properties benefit the entire installation process. First, there’s the better recovery: after being highly compressed for efficient shipment, InsulPure quickly returns to its full shape once opened. In practical application that means it’s easier to handle, easier to cut, and easier to place. Perhaps most significantly, InsulPure is less dusty. That means less worksite mess and quicker cleanup.
Dow
With changing needs in the building industry, today’s construction materials are called on to deliver:
- Greater energy efficiency
- Reduced environmental impact
- Compliance with stringent regulations, such as fire performance
Polyurethane Systems
For insulated panels and boards, we offer polyurethane systems that are lightweight, increase energy efficiency, improve longevity, and meet the most demanding industry requirements.
Surfactants for PUR/PIR
For polyurethane (PUR) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam insulation systems, our high-performance surfactants boost energy efficiency. Typical applications include:
- Foam core laminate
- Pour-in-place insulation
- Spray insulation polyol blends
Compatible with polyester and polyether polyol formulations, the surfactants simplify the mixing of polyols and blowing agents, maintain the blowing agents in the emulsion or solution, and provide excellent emulsion stability.
When formulated and processed properly, systems with these surfactants can achieve higher foam yield and higher compressive strength. The surfactants meet the requisite building and fire performance tests, making them ideal when fire resistance is needed.
Acrylic Alternatives
Thermosetting resins from Dow can be used as an alternative to traditional formaldehyde-based resins for binding mineral fibers in the production of insulation blanket products that go into building insulation systems and specialty insulation.
